Hardstand/Boat Yard

Our yard contains cradles for vessels to be held in our secure yard with the benefit of being situated nearby our stainless engineering business and other local marine industry providers/distributors. There is a CCTV camera providing security for our customers.  Being directly on the waterfront, there is a small element of risk and as such, Customers are responsible for their own insurance.

Larger commercial fishing vessels utilise our on-site slipway hall-out facility to carry out under water hull maintenance and antifouling needs.  Vessels up to 80 tonne with a maximum beam of 19 feet and a draft of 9 foot 6 inches can be lifted using a commercial crane.  Commercial and oversized pleasure craft including multihulls can also carryout water blasting and painting work in our boat yard.

We have three large sheds on-site to carry out undercover boat work.  We work with local crane companies to lift vessels and have large trolleys for big vessels to be transported in and out of our work sheds. There is also a commercial docking facility next to the Hutcheson Boatbuilders Yard where large vessels can be berthed to carry out above water maintenance.
